2009: Sinéad Mulvey & Black Daisy - Et Cetera

Sinéad Mulvey began singing professionally at the age of thirteen when, back in 2003, she was picked from hundreds of hopefuls for the lead role in the pantomime Cinderella. Following the success, she then went on to perform a variety of numbers on stage at Liberty Hall every year. In 2005 she was named as one to watch, after appearing in the talent show You’re A Star on RTÉ, where she managed to secure a place in the final heats. Sinéad is no stranger to Eurovision, as she was the one to originally record a demo version of the song Love? sung by Donna and Joe in 2005. The talented 23 year old literally can’t be kept down for long and is something of a high flier, working as an air stewardess with Irish airline Aer Lingus alongside her music career.

Black Daisy are an all girl trio formed in Dublin. The band consists of Lesley-Ann Halvey (singer/bass), Nicki Billings (guitar) and Asta Mileriene (drums). The girls cite various music influences, ranging from 80’s music to mainstream chart music and of course rock ‘n’ roll. They hadn’t previously worked with Sinéad, so were thrilled to bring their own vibrant, fun form of music to a wider audience from Moscow.
