The TWiiNS are Daniela and Veronika Nizlová, and were born on 15 May 1986 in the central Slovak village of Hronský Beñadik. Daniela is married to co-songwriter Braño Jancich.
Their musical career started in 2000 as the Tweens, with an album of the same name. Since then, they’ve released a further four albums, becoming the TWiiNS in 2009 with the album Compromise. This album contained the cover of the Sabrina song Boys, Boys, Boys. The are mainly now based in the USA.
The TWiiNS are no strangers to Eurovision. In 2008 in Belgrade (when Slovakia was still absent), they performed as backing singers with Tereza Kerndlová from the Czech Republic and the song Have some fun. This song sadly didn’t make it to the final, but they always intimated that they’d like to represent Slovakia in the future.
