Giorgos was born in Athens on 24th December 1971. He is a Greek pop musician. His career started in 1989 when he appeared on a Greek reality show. After a short period of stage acting, Alkaios dedicated himself to music. His first single, Ti Ti, made him highly popular in Greece. He is known for his distinctive style combining Greek and Oriental elements with modern pop music. In his career to date, he has had 5 Platinum albums, 9 Gold albums and about 20 albums.
Friends Music Factory is a record label that Giorgos established with fellow musician and friend, Dionysis Schinas, in November 2008. Also in the team also were Kassiani Kargiule, Dimitris Hortarias, Stavros Apostolou, Tolis Schinas, and Manos Hortarias amongst others.
