Niamh Kavanagh needs little introduction. The 42-year-old won Eurovision in 1993 with the song In your eyes, beating the UK into second place. Additionally, she won on her home turf in the south-western town of Millstreet, thus ensuring her popularity for years to come.
Niamh’s first big break came when she performed on the soundtrack album for the 1991 film The Commitments. Niamh’s first album, Flying blind, was recorded in Nashville and gave us a hint of the general direction she would take her music.
She’s back this year to try and do the double with a haunting ballad that was made for her.
