Sieneke was born on the 1st of April 1992. Together with her father, mother and younger brother she lives in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Sieneke always loved dancing. When she was eight years old she started doing street dancing, later on she performed ballroom dancing.

Sieneke didn’t only dance, she also loved singing and so she started to perform at parties throughout the Netherlands. During one of those gigs she met well-known Dutch singer Marianne Weber. Weber was impressed by the voice and the charisma of Sieneke. Together they made some early plans, but Weber always waited on the right moment for Sieneke to get on the big stage.

In 2010 TROS broadcasting company asked Weber to search for a talent willing to enter in the Dutch National Song Contest. Weber didn’t hesitate and selected Sieneke to perform at the Dutch selection show for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest.
