Alex Swings Oscar Sings! was the moniker used by duo Oscar Loya and Alex Christensen for their performance of the 2009 German entry at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. Christensen is something of a name to be reckoned with on the German music scene, having performed under various guises such as Jasper Forks and Alex C. He has worked as a composer, DJ and producer and enjoyed considerable success as one of the members of the group U96, with whom he achieved a pan European smash in 1992 with the song Das Boot. Another later collaboration gave him great success in the shape of the single Du Hast Den Schönsten Arsch Der Welt, topping both the German and Austrian charts in 2007, and spawning further hit singles the following years. Christensen has collaborated with numerous well established artists in the music industry, including the likes of Right Said Fred, Tom Jones, teen heart throbs *NSYNC, Sarah Brightman and German pop act ATC.
A veritable musical chameleon, Christensen adopted the name Alex Forks in 2010, in order to give his career a clean break from previous dance orientated work. His subsequent work was within the tech house genre, producing yet another significant European hit in 2010 with the single "The River Flows in You".
Oscar Loya hails from California, USA but has made his home in Munich, Germany. He is a complete newcomer to the music scene and is yet to release his debut album, Heart 4 Sale.
