17 year old Christina Metaxa was an unknown student when she won the Cypriot final. She was born on the 4th of April 1992 in Limassol, the second eldest of four siblings. Prior to entering the Cypriot heats, she had however gained some experience performing in numerous singing competitions and school productions. The aspiring starlet went on to snag one of the leading roles in the Cypriot production of the world famous Mamma Mia! musical.
Her hobbies apart from singing include painting and dancing and is a member of the Diastasis young dancers troupe, one of Cyprus’ most foremost cultural groups. The multi talented youngster also writes poetry in her free time, has composed a hand full of songs and is about to have her first children’s book published.
