Mei Finegold was born in 1982 and her musical career started by singing with local choirs and taking music lessons since her childhood. From the age of 18 to 26 she led a rock band, performing all over the country. She shot to fame in 2009 when she participated at the talent show Kokhav Nolad (A Star Is Born) where she finished third.
A year later, Mei was offered a role in a huge musical theatre production. In doing so, she fulfilled one of her biggest dreams and her work was praised by both audiences and critics, winning the Best New Actress award. In 2010 she also released her debut album called Soda Pop whose songs were written by Mei herself.
In 2011 she joined the electronic pop rock band Limozina Express whose members are well known Israeli musicians and in 2012 she was part of the cast of the classic Israeli musical Kazablan. In recognition of her outstanding work she won the award to the Best Supporting Actress Of The Year in 2013.
She is also a socially committed person and she often collaborates with human rights organizations.
