Cascada has been one of the most successful German acts during the last years and consists of the female lead singer Natalie
Horler, DJ Manian and DJ Yanou. The band was founded under the name
Cascade in Bonn 10 years ago. Due to copyright reason they had to change
their name into Cascada. Their breakthrough came in 2006 when they
entered the US top 10 with the cover version of Maggie Reilly’s Everytime we touch.
The song remained in the top 100 for 31 weeks and could also score
chart positions in the UK, Ireland and Sweden. In 2009 Cascada had their
so far biggest hit with Evacuate the dancefloor which entered
the UK charts at the top position and became also a hit in several other
European countries, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and the USA.
Lead singer Natalie was born in Bonn in 1981. Her father is a jazz musician, her mother an English teacher. At age 17 Natalie started to work for several DJs in recording studios. Beside singing Natalie is also an educated dancer in the categories jazzdance, hip-hop, streetdance and tap-dance.
