Izabo is one of the most successful alternative pop bands of the country. The band which has performed throughout Europe in some indie-rock festivals is made up of the versatile producer Ran Shem-Tov (lead singer and guitarist), Shiri Hadar (keyboards), Jonathan Levy (bass) and Nir Mantzur (drums). They have been working together for many years and in 2003 they recorded their debut album called The Fun Makers.
In the same year they released The Morning Hero EP in the United Kingdom and began to spread their sound among the international audience. In January of 2005 their album was released in the Benelux countries via the label Rough Trade NL, and in 2006 it was released in France via Roymusic/ Discograph. Their second album Superlight was released in Israel and France in 2008.
