Four songs competing for Spain revealed – Online voting opened

The final will be held on 26th of February where a jury and the audience will choose this year’s Spanish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. El Sueño de Morfeo will perform three songs of which two of them have already been chosen, but the third one will be picked among two candidates by online voting.

The popular band El Sueño de Morfeo was selected internally by TVE in December last year to represent Spain at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest when it was also announced that the song that they will perform in Malmö would be chosen by a televised show among some songs composed by the members of the band themselves (Raquel del Rosario, Juan Luis Suárez and David Feito).

That show, where the ultimate choice will be made by an expert jury and televote will take place on the 26th of February, but we do not have to wait any longer to listen to the four candidate songs to be the Spanish entry in Malmö as they are now available online on the official website of the broadcaster. Two of them are already qualified for the final and a third one from the remaining two will be chosen by online voting through the TVE website. The two songs which go straight to the final are:

There are two more songs of which only one will make it to the final and it will be the one which receive most votes from the users of the broadcaster’s website:

It is only allowed one vote per user and the deadline is the 11th of February at mid-day. The next day, TVE will announce the title of the most voted song which then becomes finalist along with the two tracks that have already been chosen.

The members of El Sueño de Morfeo stated that they are proud of the four songs and it is nice to let the public decide which one is their favorite. When composing the songs they have tried to be themselves, with their own style, and the four songs have the essence and the soul that the band has had throughout their career.
