Danish broadcaster DR was to gradually release this year’s Danish songs next week, but they have leaked and all ten songs for the 2009 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix are already available on the internet.
DR hasn’t been very good at making sure nothing got out this year. Several of the participants were leaked in advance. One of them, Christina Undhjem had even given an interview to a Norwegian newspaper about her participation in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix two weeks before the Danish Broadcaster presented the names at big press conference. That points towards that DR in the first place had not been clear to the participants about that they were not suppose to talk about it.
How the songs have leaked is another question DR will now have to look into as fact is that all ten songs are available on the internet in full length and in studio quality.
Update: The Danish songs seem to have leaked as the phone company, TDC made the songs available for download for their customers. It is not yet known if this will lead to DR also putting them online before time or if they will stick to the plan about presenting them gradually next week "for the first time".
