Welcome to the great 2016 Eurovision Comeback Contest

This year’s contest is going to be full of familiar faces who have taken part before. So far a total of six returning artists have been confirmed, but that number can be more than doubled when all the national selections have ended.

When the Icelandic TV viewers last Saturday evening selected Greta Salóme to represent them at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, we could add another name to the list of artists returning to the contest this year. We are now up to six, but that is a number that can very well end up becoming significantly larger as there are still former participants left in the various selections around Europe. For fans it is a joy seeing so many who had such a great experience that they are up for another turn. As many of them by now are well established artists, it also adds a certain quality stamp to the contest.

This makes a total of 13 possible comeback’ers, or in other words potentially half of participants in the final.

This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take part in Stockholm, Sweden with the two semi-finals held on the 10th and 12th of May and the final Saturday the 14th.
