We’ll have to wait two days longer for the Russian entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Sergei Lazarev’s 2016 Eurovision song originally scheduled for release on the 3rd of March will be published two days later instead, Russian broadcaster confirms.
Russian broadcaster RTR is set to reveal Russia’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 on March 5th instead of the previously announcement for the 3rd of March. The presentation of the Russian entry will take place on the 5th of March during the central news on Russia One, this means the reveal will take place between 19:00 and 20:00 CET.
As it was previously announced, Sergey Lazarev will wave the Russian flag in Stockholm this May. His song was co-written by Philip Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos, both well known in the Eurovision community for their previous entries (Belarus 2007, Ukraine 2008, Greece 2009, Azerbaijan 2013, Russia 2014).
Sergey Lazarev has been selected via an internal selection by Russian broadcaster RTR to represent Russia in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden.
