This year’s Greek entry to be performed by Demy will include an orchestra. The Symphony Orchestra of ERT has taken part in the recording of all three songs of which one will be chosen as her 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
The president of the broadcaster, Dionisis Tsaknis, revealed the news at a special press conference held a few days ago at ERT, where they also presented the Greek delegation for Kyiv. The recordings are now in full swing.
ERT Eurovision account posted this morning some photos from the recording studio, while the symphony orchestra was recording the three songs, which Dimitris Kontopoulos has composed for Demy. Expectations are high with the Greek public this year. Greece is already in the top 5 in the betting odds, without anyone having heard the three songs.
Dimitris Kontopoulos, the composer of the three potential Eurovision Songs for Demy and Greece, also posted a photo on his Instagram. He tells that he was also at ERT, for the recording of the songs.
There is yet no exact date as to when Greece will choose its Eurovision Song Contest entry. All that has been communicated out by the broadcaster ERT says early March.
