maNga releases a new video clip for Romantik Şizofren

The runners-up of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, maNga, has released a new video clip called Romantik Şizofren, which means Romantic Schizoid in Turkish. That also reminds us how much some fans miss Turkey at Eurovision.

One of the most famous Turkish rock bands, maNga, has released a new video of the song Romantik Şizofren. A few days ago they announced via their official Facebook page that they would release a new video clip which included some frames from their Far-East trip on their YouTube channel at 8 P.M. on the 7th of May. Later that day, they revealed their video as they promised.

Actually, the whole video is full of the frames from their Far-East trip including Hong Kong, Macau and Bangkok. The song is about a person who has psychological issues. “When you close your eyes and run into flames / Every time you fall, you can restart / When you throw yourself through the fire and burn alone / Every time you die down, you can be reborn“, it is the translation of the chorus.

Turkish rock band maNga became popular all over Europe after winning Best Turkish Act and Best European Act awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2009. In 2010, they were selected by TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo with the song We Could Be The Same. However, although they were not one of the favourites, they surprisingly became second at the contest with 170 points.
