The group Quartissimo was founded by four successful musicians, Žiga Cerar, Matjaž Bogataj, Samo Dervišić and Luka Dukarić.
- Žiga, was born in 1978 in Ljubljana. His talent on violins appeared in his youth and that allowed him to study in musical academies. His has now received his degree for MA (master). He is now working in the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra.
- Matjaž, at 24 years old, is the youngest member of Quartissimo. As with Žiga, Matjaz also studies music. Don’t look at his age because he has already taken part of over 200 concerts.
- Samo was born in 1981 also in Ljubljana. He learnt the cello at the age of 5 and carried his own ability for further development by studying in music. Althought Samo is now a cellist in La Vie D’Un Quatuor String Quartet, he also interest with photography.
- Luka was born in Ljubljana in 1986. As the rest of the members were, Luka was also interested in music in his childhood. During his education, he won some regional contests. Luka has been working in an international orchestra, Animato Academy, since 2006.
The soloist, Croatian Martina Mejerle, was born in Rijeka, Croatia in 1980. Althought Martina studied economics in her academical career, she was always interested in music. She became a soloist in the groups of Putokazi and Atmospheric.
Martina was linked with the Eurovision Song Contest before her participation. She was the backing vocals of Croatian representative Claudia Beni in 2003, in 2007 with the Slovene representative, Alenka Gotar, and
in 2008 with the Montenegrin representative, Stefano Filipović. She has also accompanied many famous musicians such as Tereza Kesovija, Zdravko Čolić, the
band Novi Fosili, Severina, Massimo Savić, Nina Badrić, Vanna, Toni
Cetinski, Vesna Pisarović (former Croatian representative from 2002), Radojka Šverko and Maja Blagda.
Martina is now working with the orchestra of Croatian RTV, planning big projects for the future.
